For this project, we had to choose something and carve it into a linoleum block using carving tools. After that, we had to print it onto paper by rolling ink onto it. We needed a few different variations, so I have my plain black and white one, my one on water colors, and one on blue paper using different colored inks. My favorite part of this project was printing because we could finally see what we worked hard on carving would come out as, and we could get creative with it. My least favorite part is probably how my printings didn't come out exactly how I wanted, especially the one with the colored ink how it is smudged, but I still like it. My inspiration for this project for the fish was that I like fish and at the summer I did a lot of fishing, and I have been also spending a lot of time by the Charles River or anywhere with water recently, so I love to see the fish. If I could do something different with this project it would probably be to make it more detailed because I think the detailed ones came out really cool. Nothing surprised me about this artwork but it was really fun to do and see how it came out.
